I am currently a fourth year student at Whittier College, majoring in Psychology. My whole life I was surrounded by families and children and have really enjoyed learning and communicating with them. My family owned a small daycare in Rosemead, Ca and I helped create schedules for the students to have activities after school. I helped our students work on their homework and communicated with family on what still needed to be done at home. Now, I am currently working as a Behavioral Technician in San Gabriel Valley for two years now and it had changed my life completely. I have really enjoyed working with children on the spectrum and helping them achieve their goals. I enjoy helping families and having a positive impact on their life. This job is so broad and I have enjoyed making an impact on my students speech. I want to continue to my education and pursue a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology to continue to support kiddos in their speech and help families.
